Pirate and the Preacher
let me tell you a story bout a pirate of high seas
they'd been up to many a "crimes", and wanted
they met a preacher who they thought was haunted
he said they'd go to hell without hearing their pleas
he went on and on bout how the law is so right,
"god should have been your guide and your highest teacher,
should have got in line right away", said the preacher,
they just sighed at those words fading into the night
"whilst paradise could be oh real,
it would be nice, but here's the deal,
i don't want my precious days wasted,
god proof's not something i've tasted"
but he went on and on about their so called crime,
for their adventures they would throw them right to jail,
they thought "this situation is one i would bail,
when will i have enough of just standing in line"
he went on about god watching each of their moves,
and bout how we all should keep being pretenders
how we should stick to 2 strict biblical genders
that's when the pirate had enough, and broke the news
i never got any mild understanding,
folks never gave me my own Act of Grace,
but after a while i was so done with blending,
i wanted the world to see my real face
i even went as far as shaving my mask off
yet now you're here telling me how to behave
since authority's something you oh so crave,
what you deserve is to be rid of
