re: trackpoint rantfrom all of the pointing devices i have used, my favourite for normal use really is a trackpad, with trackballs being close, although you can't really beat trackpads with all the gestures that leave more space for keyboard shortcuts, yes, ploopy has nice qmk trackballs but at least their mini trackball suffers from having shitty switches which i still haven't gotten around to replacing and safe to say, i still use normal mice for first-person camera games
trackpoint rantyou know, the trackpoint obsession never ceases to amaze me - tracking device with characteristics inferior to pretty much every other alternative outside of size but with great marketing both official and around nerd spaces. for me it's been mostly frustrating to use since it needs to recalibrate so often, and it does not feel precise at all contrary to what some say, it's either too slow or too fast "b-b-but jeder you have used wrong model", i have five words for that - i don't give a fuck
