okay so this is an incredibly weird story of how fucked usb-c ports can get.
1. I plug my phone into the powerbank, after 5 minutes it finally gets a proper handshake and charges successfully, so I unplug it
2. after a while I want to charge it again so I plug the phone back, however, whenever I click the standby button of the powerbank, it controls the fucking mute option and there's a headset icon at the status bar, powerbanks display was forced to be disabled whenever phone was plugged in???
3. I went out to buy another usb-c to c cable to see if it's a cable issue, because I was alone and there was nobody I knew yet who could help me (average stupid decision of mine lol), and instead of phone recognising the headset, powerbank display was lighting up, but phone didn't charge and here's where it gets freaky
4. I plug my phone into multiple wall chargers and cables, I clean the fucking port, nothing works
5. After a while I get the idea of "just fucking restart the phone ffs" and port works again and phone gets charged from mains
6. I plug it back to the powerbank, port dies again, restart makes it work again
my friend has an iphone, so as I was curious what would the powerbank do to his phone, I plugged it in. and what happened! it fucking charged.
this fucking powerbank can crash the usb driver on my phone
