like, poland has no real zoning at all (which is also a huge curse) and they manage to spread them out anyway and maybe later they start to lump

also too much mixed zoning is bad, like, nijmegen felt nice but also because of how dense the city centre is (and there was a shop in almost every building), it really felt like a busy mall

okay it could also be because i live in a particularly compact and dense city which is very much approximately a 5x5km square (but also not a square but you get the idea) where i can spend just one hour walking from one edge to the other and makes me really annoyed when there's a single district that is this big and is just single family housing but eugh
