in Poland we have a whole family from Pesa, models 214Mx and 218Mx, and partially also 219M, which you could pretty much describe as poor man's LINT. In early 2000s Pesa was a newcomer to building new trains, and everyone demanded light diesel rail vehicles right here, right now, and so they created the first 214M out of an 120A coach, and both series really look like a poor man's LINT lmao. there were two other companies that tried to come up with something but their products weren't even using proper bogies, and were so unreliable, both of them went out of business because of the unreliability and the fact that Pesa simply outsold them. however they also were unreliable, and almost went out of business years later themselves because of their next generation vehicles and not delivering reliable stuff on time, let's just say they were a bit overambitious with what their workforce could actually do
