like, configurability isn't a bad thing, abhorrent default settings (or lack thereof) is a bad thing and i could list all of the suspects one by one for next few minutes but i can't be arsed tbh
i hate how free software just bets all in on configurability and leaves everything for you to figure out yourself and/or has absolutely abhorrent default settings
like, i don't know what it is about lightroom but it seemingly just doesn't expose as much various settings and filters as darkroom and it just is a more pleasurable experience? and the fact that i have a working hw acceleration on windows over linux also helps greatly
darktable had a bunch of weird default settings automatically applied to them (which i sure as hell didn't set up myself) and so far i like how lightroom deals with them
also, they don't look that bad i guess? like, they are more muted on other displays than this dell because it's the only one that can do adobe RGB lmao, but it's not as muted as on dell's srgb profile which just looks like ass
@aetios@NanoSector@charadon ironically enough i never had to dig them out and this year was like the first time i had to dig out usb-c port, and that's like the first time in six years of using usb-c devices
