like even outside of server downtime, mastodon has no features (because fun is against the holy garg's Vision), pleroma is horrible in every way due to randomly failing to load and stuff like that on any instance older than 5 days, and misskey is pretty stable but you need a supercomputer to run it
@jeder because you need a combination of enough RAM, enough CPU speed, and enough bandwidth (because it's also very timeout-happy), which my 3 year old phone apparently doesn't have
