@rune@gts.fedi.tax i think it's worse if you consider futute implications... crypto is basically nothing now, but if AI becomes better, that could have a bunch of potential issues
@duc Awful chatbots and fake content will likely cause a lot of damage, but ransomware has been and continues to be a major byproduct of cryptocurrency. Also proof of work is still destroying the planet even at lower valuations, but I guess training AI is the same on that front.
