@jeder one of these guys, welcome back to the 80s (this is the modernized version, also the seats are very comfy)
A picture of the outside of an ÖBB Eurofima carriage, stolen from Google. The resolution is quite low, but you are able to tell what the outside looks like.
The inside of a modernized ÖBB Eurofima 2nd class carriage from the perspective of seat 11. You can see old ÖBB curtains, dark blue headrests and wooden panelling.

@mae i was travelling in bmz73 apparently in that nightjet
and like
it kinda looked old I guess
though like also the only UIC-Z coaches in Poland are used usually in Express and EuroCity trains so it's not that you see them often

@mae like, we have so many Y standard coaches that they just end up modernising the interior from 8 seat to either 6 seat or 2+2 open saloon, unfortunately without changing the bogies, but like, eh

@mar @jeder yeah, they're used in pretty much every intercity, some D connections and as the seating cars in NJs sometimes

@jeder @mar the D is for Durchgangszug, aka "through train", it's very old nomenclature for high-speed trains. The only D connections in Austria nowadays are filler trains to increase capacity during peak hours on long-distance relations to and from Vienna
