subnote, mildly upset@christinya imo debian is way more annoying to use than arch, like sure, you need to remember that you should upgrade or whatever, but otherwise I had less problems with it than with ubuntu or debian
subnote, mildly upset@jeder i've had no problems with taking an arch install that's been offline for months and taking it up to date, or taking a void linux install and daily driving it
yet trying to use elementary os, debian or even pop os, they somehow manage to break or at least crumble somehow
re: subnote, mildly upset@jeder@christinya I fell for the gentoo meme and you ain't missing on much, like it's rock solid and all but I ended up moving over to void because I ran out of patience to compile everything.
I just really like saying "install gentoo" because it's dumb
re: subnote, mildly upset, mild swear@fresita@jeder tbh i couldn't give less of a flying shit about what distro someone uses; after all, it's just a set of tools and whichever works for you, i'm happy
but i'm pissed about hard stereotypes and having this sense of "cool kid" when you stab at others, even if through satire, just because you don't like what distro they use
