After the whole recent kerfuffle started, I switched my default post visibility to "unlisted", and I already feel the positive impact. :blobcat:

The default for me now is a bit less public, making it a bit less likely some random response toot I write gets boosted out of the thread and out of context. :blobcatcoffee:

And when I post a toot like this one, I can easily change the posting visibility on it to public, obviously. :blobcatfingerguns:

@jeder in my case it wasn't not about unpleasant randos (although I recognize that's an issue for a lot of people).

In my case it was about being responsible with the loudspeaker-amplifier that I have at my disposal here. Some of my responses made in context of specific threads got boosted out of context and caused much more commotion than they should have. :blobcatsweats:

Making my replies unlisted means this is much less likely to happen now.
