europe really is the only place to have these kinds of microstates huh

mostly because of colonialism which subsumed literally the entire world outside of europe into massive empires which got broken up into large artificially defined countries soo

i guess pacific nations are also kind of microstates but that's also because like, they're small pacific islands and atolls, can't really do much there
