@jeder I think Misskey does migrations in transactions so it wouldn't run your install if an error occurs during igrations.

@SuperDicq like, i have files with alt text longer than 512 characters and this is the cause

@jeder There's two ways you can solve this:
1. Quick and easy: create a query that caps all alt texts at 512 chars, this will result in partial data loss.
2. Modify the migration and remove the 512 limit rollback, it doesn't really matter because I assume Calckey has removed the old 512 limit as well.

@jeder Oh and a third one solution: truncate the entire column and reimport it once you have Calckey running.

@jeder I'm probably going to attempt the same FoundKey to Calckey migration this weekend and if I run into the same issue I can probably give you the queries that I used.

@SuperDicq i have commented out the rollback and went ahead, checked that calckey has 8192 char limit which is even higher than foundkey anyway

@jeder Yeah and as soon as you run the Calckey migrations it will increase it to 8192 then and there will be no problem.

@SuperDicq all i can say is that you'll want to use git reset --hard origin/main instead of git pull --ff since otherwise you get a huge merge conflict
and yeah some reverts take a while

@jeder Yeah that makes sense, if you git pull -ff you start a merge. You don't want to merge the Calckey codebase with the FoundKey codebase, that would be stupid.

You want to delete the FoundKey codebase and switch to the Calckey one instead, which is what
reset hard does.

@SuperDicq i mean they gave git pull --ff in the migration guide which is pretty much misleading

@jeder The migration guide is based on migrating from Misskey, not Foundkey.

In terms of Git history Calckey is built on top of Misskey, but parallel to Foundkey.

@jeder Oh I'm reading the migration.md now and there's also a FoundKey migration guide now which does indeed mention git pull --ff which is probably a mistake.

@SuperDicq yeah i was thinking about fixing it but i'll finish this run and just go outside
was thinking about like
run this if running main, otherwise ignore, since foundkey doesn't do beta/develop
