can anyone explain why people on tumblr write comments in tags?

@aprzn can't they simply reblog with text? or is the difference that "tags only" posts not be reblogged?

@duc reblogs of your reblog/post will contain the text content of your reblog but not the tag, e.g.:

user-1 posts: “here’s some things”
user-2 reblogs with: “and some more” and adds the tag “#here’s some stuff i just want to share with my followers”
user-3 reblogs that reblog, and it shows up like this:\
user-3 reblogged:
user-1: here's some things
user-2: and some more



(note the absence of user-2’s tags)
