The GTS code base actually does support joined dates beyond 2038, which is very ​:gtspat:​

the neat thing is that people on other software still won't see any difference unless they actually go to the remote profile.

Posgres will accept a timestamp up to the year 99999, but GTS will kindly tell you you're full of shit if you go beyond 9999
