@jeder you either get this, some very vague docs or crackhead ""guides"" written by mckay, just like this one: codeberg.org/alpine/alpine-wiki

@ptrc@social.treehouse.systems @jeder last time I wanted to look something up on wiki I ended up on a page for this! unfortunately it was this one wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/APKBUILD_examples:Go

are we complaining about the alpine wiki? welp time for me to complain too @selfisekai@social.hackerspace.pl @ptrc@social.treehouse.systems @jeder imo, the only good alpine wiki articles are wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/APKBUILD_Reference and wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Creating_an_Alpine_package

the decision to include "howtos" on the wiki especially baffles me. that sounds like something you'd find in a blog post, not a wiki... an arch wiki-like approach would make more sense here, where there's a separate page for each app/service, alongside with an installation section, other config sections, maybe a subpage for some more advanced topics

imo the only places where a wiki seems to be doing an ok job are Arch and pmOS
