im working on a lil website to learn scripts for other languages :3

when you click it gives you a word, and when you click again it shows the transliteration. hovering over characters shows you their transliteration, with diacritics

this is a fork/remake of geo.emily.bz/writing-systems, and the word list is stolen from there (which is taken from wikidata place names)

@duc emily's tools are awesome!! my only problem with them is that they're not great for learning, just for testing once you already know, which kinda sucks cause i dont wanna just memorize all the characters by themselves

@annieversary i do agree with that, i don't really see how i'll learn regions of a country just by clicking, so maybe that is also what causes me to have no energy for it

@duc yeah i tried learning the colombia regions with emily's site but its not really practical, there's no way you can remember 30 things at a time. i will probably end up making a page like that one that gives you a few at a time and tests you on those
