@jeder at this point I'm considering to just delete everything KDE-related off the face of the earth, fuck this shit, it crashes constantly when I close notifications
@a13cui is this another one of those moments where parts of linux are just fucking shattering every time you use them but they work fine for someone else
@RisenValkyrie maybe I need to get my ass off and actually do the DE I wanted to make and dogfood it (now that will be a lot of fun) although... yeah, Xlib is bad, XCB is worse despite being better and Wayland is just disgusting to work with (and I want to have as much cross platform compatibility as I can at this moment and worry about WL later), I can make probonopd use my DE)

kde works just fine for me, i have had occasional crashes about 2-3 years ago but i'm on 5.24 right now (kubuntu) and it works just fine. no crashes no artefacting no problems whatsoever
@a13cui i'm not bothered by not having it, i was the kind of person to use vertical overviews extension when gnome 40 came out (i still do when i use gnome)
@RisenValkyrie on a real note, I have no clue why it's crashing specifically because of notifications, I've had periods where KDE was the only stable DE I've used (okay, I now use KDE just because I'm too lazy to install another one and I use :opensuse: so it is almost The Flagship Experience, just like GNOME is for Fedora (don't use KDE on Fedora pls) )
