A fact I sometimes get reminded of: Warsaw Central Station is not Warsaw Main Station is not Warsaw Downtown Station, despite them being very close to each other (and also to Warsaw West Station).

In completely unrelated note, guess which silly kitten almost missed her train because she forgot the train's departing from Main station and not Central.

Oh, and to make things funnier: in addition to Warsaw Downtown Station, there's also Warsaw Downtown WKD Station. They're both next to the Central station, and I believe you could route a train so that it would stop at both of these without backtracking.

EDIT: ok, I was wrong about the no-backtracking route part. forgot the WKD is terminus/dead end station.

@ar WKD is a dead end for a completely isolated line so not really? and iirc you can't just enter downtown from central, you'd have to shunt in warsaw west or east in order to get onto these tracks mmh

@jeder you can enter downtown from central with the rightmost track, facing east. but yeah, wkd is a dead end, forgot about it

@jeder @ptrc It's a weird track that's not used unless they have some special need for it. Even been on a train from central once that rode through downtown.
