@jeder well it now has a Calamares installer so installation is easy as shit, and usage is… different, it’s basically “you like Nix and the idea of managing your entire system with it or you don’t”

@jeder i’d suggest you try Nix separately first and see if you like it because if you don’t then you’re not gonna like NixOS either

@RisenValkyrie @jeder yeah, just try home-manager on another distro, much less committal than installing nixos and at least you're not playing inside of a VM

@jeder I have somehow nixos'd but I don't entirely remember how

I think there was like 3 unobvious websites you need to find to search information on and then you're good

Also the nix language is different from all normal programming languages in ways I couldn't imagine before

And also most documentation is extremely indepth, assumes you have knowledges about other areas of nix which do the same, and help I have no idea what I'm doing.
