I just wanted to say, that I admire your cause. I really do. I also strive towards better Fedi as a whole and have always taken action to reduce the amount of bigotry on Polish Fedi especially.
But what you are currently doing can hardly be called anything other than an angry mob mentality. You are attacking people you have never interacted with. You throw shit at us while having no evidence of our alleged wrongdoings. You fuel the spiral of hatred by saying that the Polish Fedi site generally doesn’t know how to moderate and is a breeding ground for bigotry. This is simply not fair.
Our part of the world faces slightly different problems than yours. There is no systemic racism like in the States. At least not towards the black population, there is a certain level of discrimination, but its not really comparable to the level disabled, queer and trans people are experiencing. Translating the racial discourse from the US to the situation in Poland is simply not accurate. But it doesnt mean we accept racism. Because we do not and never will. Oppression is bad. Always. It’s just wrong to assume we are all racists because the society is built different while also fighting racism and other sorts of dehumanizing rhetoric.
And you know what? I don’t even know what you are accusing us of - or what you are accusing me of. I have never written anything racist, homophobic or transphobic here in my life because I have always, I repeat always, been against hate speech. But after all, that’s nothing, just a minor inconvenience for you, a bloodthirsty folk, turns out it’s enough to be on the same server as the dude you have beef with so it automatically makes me a worse sort of human being and makes me deserve to be slandered by you and get reported for things I didn’t do. Because, you know, guilt by association is a thing, apparently.
You are the reason why we can’t have good things. Your initiative is a perfect example of how good ideas oversaturated by nutjobs quickly turn into a travesty of what they were meant to be. Because seriously, you are accusing crustacea of ableism while also trying to deprive them of their only source of livelihood because they disagree with you. And trying to do that to a disabled trans person in the Polish countryside is basically a death sentence. So congrats. You guys are fucking disgusting and I’m just waiting for your Robespierre mentality to bite you in the ass and devour you over the slightest conflict or misunderstanding.
