I think of selfhosting a single user instance with Hetzner. What VPS do you think would be sufficient/fitting? Please keep in mind, that I don't want to spend that much money on it.
Oh and I will probably run glitch-soc...

@MagicLike @askfedi arm vpses should be great, i currently have CAX31 which is most likely too much but it's nice

@MagicLike yeah they should be enough, i am not sure if disabling media proxy is possible but with it disabled, and using something like backblaze b2 for your own media, it will be cheap and good for long
