The more I think about it, the more I feel like all softwares can be classified as either being good-looking and pleasant to use, functionnal, or ethical / not having harmful practices
and like, the max you can have is 2, you can't have all 3
like, for exemple,
notion, it's pretty great to use, it looks great, it works well
but your data is taken in hostage by a random ass company. (and not encrypted)
gnu/imp, it's very powerful and can do a lot of stuff
but it's UI is horrendous, and also uh ig being called a slur is also harmful practices
photoshop, powerful, good UI, but adobe
most linux distro too, either good looking and function, but shitty corporation behind it
or windows, it works (most of the time), some of the UI is alright. but microsoft
and yeah idk where am going with that
