hmm looking to buy an ebook reader but I am a bit aimless like how much storage is enough storage? though maybe I shouldn't care if it has a card reader slot.
But -- should I even consider a Kindle at all? Considering I will never ever use their service but I am thinking if maybe there is a way to crack those

@cheri kindles are fine for an entry-level reader, and ebooks aren't that big, so low-tier kindle will fit a shitton of .mobi ebooks
and you don't need to crack them in order to sideload ebooks, at least here

@cheri like, 8gb is minimal option on kindles i think? and if you don't read comics on it (which isn't great anyway), you could fit a whole city library if you wanted
