I kinda want to become one of those video essay youtubers, but I know for a fact I'd only ever want to talk about sex stuff.

So, for example, the history of sex toys, which would include the fact that the vibrator was originally a steam powered medical device used to cure female hysteria www.elle.com/life-love/g29713/the-history-of-the-vibrator/

More on the medical invention of the vibrator There's a legend that Cleopatra might have invented the vibrator by having someone put live bees in a phallic device or gourd and she'd rub one out with that, I'm not sure there's any proof,

Anyway, so doctors used to treat female hysteria (from the greek hystera meaning womb, basically implying the uterus was making them go mad,) by giving the patient a "pelvic massage" with their fingers, but this could take a while and apparently doctors in the 1800s got bored of giving beautiful women orgasms all day, so George Taylor invented the purely medical and not at all sexual device in 1869, (nice,) which would allow a doctor to do far more important stuff and pleasure far more women in the same time, or even multiple women at once.

This would eventually make it's way into the home, becoming only the 5th household appliance to be electrified.

Even more on the medical invention of the vibrator OH! and a follow up! Ani Niow built a newer design of a steam powered vibrator in 2009 for an art project, it was functional but apparently got so hot she had to wear gloves to touch it.
