I have a weird urge to migrate misskey fork again and I do quite like some stuff about iceshrimp (but also on the other hand I like fun new features too,,,)
@cheri iceshrimp is currently a continuation of what calckey was. in the future, iceshrimp is planning a total rewrite, the backend in c# and the frontend in general, which is something im super excited about. iceshrimp is generally super focused on performance and stability. sharkey, however, follows misskey so it is chained to the choices of misskey. at least that gives it a few new gimicks like achievements but imo the switch to sharkey wouldn't be worth it
@mia well you know why I chose back in the day to move to Foundkey.. Their intent was to hardfork misskey and fix it.. which did focus on improving performance :p but the dev power wasn't there so we are where we are now,,,
But that does fit with basically what I wanted from a misskey fork before tbh
@cheri in terms of dev power, iceshrimp seems fairly active. i've voiced willingness to work on whatever they need me for personally! there's also a big focus on maintainability, which will further increase dev velocity
