@steffo I mean at least in the EU, ebikes have to cut off the electric motor at 25km/h but that's because above that it's considered a motorcycle and has stricter requirements such as upgraded brakes and tires + appropriate helmet, as well as a license requirement
meanwhile there is absolutely a speed limit for cars...
@novenary@steffo i mean that speed limit is individual and still very much above legal road limits which are taken more as a suggestion than law really
@novenary@steffo like, the only full-fledged cars that have a proper speed limit are pretty much buses and trucks, and while you can lift that limit, you'll have harsh repercussions, which are arguably unlike normal cars
