- expensive
- will support your gpu for next 15 years
- no/bad open source linux drivers

amd:
- expensive but not as much as nvidia
- will drop support for your gpu during its lifespan
- better open source drivers but also not great

@jeder been daily driving it for a while, amdvlk's shader compiler is slower and usually worse

@amberxorluci i couldn't get a 15 year old game to work on proton with radv, while with amdvlk it worked flawlessly
