matrix, asking to find clients, complaining is there a matrix client that:
- is usable
- doesnt pretend to be good at ui/ux while actually being abysmal and horrendous (looking at you, cinny!!!)
- not so bad at following upstream that it got kicked off of fucking nixpkgs stable for fucks sake schildichat how did you even
- doesnt feel like someone resized a mobile screen to desktop resolutions and made it a client

matrix, asking to find clients, complaining @duc last time i used nheko it broke all cross signing and wiped verification with >30 people, lost all my keys and caused decryption errors from all devices until i hard-reset my keys

matrix, asking to find clients, complaining @schrottkatze @duc I'm being forced to use nheko as it's the only client that works reasonably well on a Linux phone. Never had any issues even close to what you've described since I've started using it around a year ago. Maybe give it another try?

matrix, asking to find clients, complaining @sophie @duc i used it when i still was on matrix.org, but those issues first happened on a self hosted setup

also side note, is it still as ridicolously memory hungry as i remember it?

matrix, asking to find clients, complaining @schrottkatze @duc No idea. Plasma Mobile alone even when nothing else is running is memory hungry enough to occasionally get oom'd on my phone. nheko seems to require ~100MiB memory but who knows how much memory pressure is being applied there lol
