hmm I have a few options of shifting the way I host things...
Right now it's lxd/incus containers - one to be entirely self-contained for each service (for example each container has its own individual postgresql server)

And, like... Not sure if it would be a better idea to have a central postgres server..
Also one option is to start using docker .. just cuz why not bur that would change the way I do a lot of things so meh. Though it would simplify some stuff.. uhh probably complicate some other mm

@cheri what i have is a bunch of systemd services that run podman containers, and then the database is on the host server (debian)
duplicate databases can lead to wasted overhead

@jeder @cheri i wrote everything by hand before learning about quadlet

@mia @cheri like, i don't even know what to do to properly move like iceshrimp from docker to rootless podman, change volumes owner to 1000? it's fucking weird

@mia @cheri everyone just says that podman is a drop-in replacement, while it obviously isn't and like, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

@jeder @mia uh oh that's what quadlet is..
I thought you are meant to replace that with using pods but that sounds a lot less convenient than compise
