joining the fediverse is a blanket statement of "yes i am fine with other servers storing my data for federation purposes, even if me removing my account might not remove the data from them"

@prefetcher this is pretty much because there is no "root instance" that is the true moderation god or whatever, it's the job of your instance to get rid of them, and even this isn't possible on bluesky
