i just learned that the wii u gamepad is REGION LOCKED
The Wii U GamePad is region-locked and will not function properly on a Wii U console from another region.

@chirpbirb yuuuup. I'm told getting a functioning and compatible tablet is far harder than getting a console at this point :S

@darkphoenix @chirpbirb however, if you have aroma cfw on the console, the gamepad region lock is gone, though you'd need to somehow get that cfw in the first place
