i do really wish that US citizens and other westerners would really stop talking about how soviet union was great for people in Eastern Europe because it really wasn't, like, it's only remarkable point is that literacy rate went up, and industrialization, whether you think that's good or not

say what you wish of nato, but there is a really good reason why eastern european countries rushed to join, and the ones that did not, now beg to join

@NeonPurpleStar yeah, if not for the sole existence of NATO, we would probably be long gone already, if not in the near future
and what's important/interesting to note is that in case of Poland (and possibly other countries) the same people that were USSR puppets are mostly responsible for joining to NATO and the EU
