systemd will scan the partition table and if it finds certain type uuids it will automatically mount it without config

yeah, it was designed so you can just put disks and partitions together with a generic boot image and it will pick things up

I think it works better if you have a systemd based initramfs because then it can mount more stuff

@tthbaltazar @jeder and somehow this fucks with my LUKS setup, therefore I put systemd.gpt_auto=no on my kernel cmdline
