The Nintendo Switch emulators are not "gone".

They just had a development setback, it will likely not receive any updates from the original developers.

But you can still use them and nobody can ever take that away from you because it is free software. There are a million mirrors of the downloads on the internet. They can also continue receiving updates just probably by different people.

Just maybe don't use Github next time ​:akko_giggle:​

@RafiX @jeder Yeah I assume the original developers took it down because they are rightfully scared of Nintendo legal repercussions.

However I think there will definitely be other people picking up the torch in the future.

There's clearly demand for Nintendo Switch emulation among the public so it will always continue to exist.

@SuperDicq @RafiX @jeder They didn't take it down because they were scared of legal repercussions, the takedown was the legal repercussions. That and them paying $2.6 million or something. This wasn't just github getting a DMCA request, like they actually got taken to court for this.

@VD15 @RafiX @jeder I mean don't get me wrong. I do believe that everyone should be able to make money developing emulator software.

But I am smart enough to know that in the current corporate climate, especially in America (land of the free lmao), it is not possible to do so because you will get sued out of the ass.
