@sk it doesn't matter because our radio doesn't really support adding your own stations (and we wanted to get something new anyway, although this complicates things a bit)
@sk i guess i could use my homeserver for something like this, since like, it's not doing anything besides home assistant stuff, and is actually kinda powerful as you can see lol
@jeder ah! that looks a lot like hls - i actually just recently read about it being the preferred protocol for mobile radio streams (www.radiomast.io/docs/streaming-network/hls.html) also, kexp.org also provides only a hls stream, which is why i know that emby supports it - and can transpile it so i can listen to it from my stereo :D
@sk what are your settings to make emby show these strm files on dlna? like, i have them in a folder which i had to mark as music or whatever, and while they show up on web player, they do not on dlna
@jeder does this tree imply that none has anything in it? like there's no extra category for strm files or whatever; you can change strm files' metadata via emby web, which makes them show up in specific artists/albums/genres listings, but they should always show up in songs and folders
@jeder ok that's weird... never had that problem myself :| but like in general, if you have any question/bug report about emby and you post in the forum, the dev (luke) usually replies pretty fast, so maybe that's worth a shot
