If my laptop only has one HDMI output, would it be possible to get some adapter that pretends to be a single screen the size of two 1080p screens and then splits that into two outputs for two real screens?

Does that exist?

@lunareclipse check your laptops PSREF or whatever your OEM's calling it, it most likely has something like "2/3 external displays supported" meaning it definitely has dp alt mode
