@jeder As a fresh Framework user: it's technically almost the complete opposite of a techbro laptop (except the vaguely-MBP-inspired look like almost any modern laptop), tbh, it feels more like a hybrid of a modern Dell Latitude (overall feeling outside) crossed with a Thinkpad T6x (engineering inside)
@jeder I mean, even Linus has valid opinions once in a while, and I feel indifferent to him backing this initiative, tbh - it's his money, and his opinion - not that it influenced me in any way
I simply searched for a laptop that would tick off as much from my wishlist as possible while not being an unholy abomination of modern tech and 20-year-old ideals cough whatever 51nb does cough
@TadeusTaD idk for me there's no good laptop, there's this abomination of "free" choice and """"""repairability"""""", and then there's apple silicon or some fucking thinkpad with shit battery life
@jeder well, I mean, everything has its tradeoffs, but the fact I can get every part of Framework disassembled using included single-bit screwdriver is a nice touch to me in the world of glue, plastic clips and 2137 screws coming in 5 sizes
