@jeder step 1: have domain
step 2: do you have a way to do automated changes to your DNS zone, either via some API that's supported by something like a certbot plugin, or via rfc2136? set that up with certbot. otherwise, do it manually... but that does suck, since renewing doesn't work with that - only running certonly over and over when expiration nears.

@kescher yeye i meant as like, maybe something different than these two
anyway about step 2: hetzner should have apis for that i suppose, although i never really got certbot renewal to work? like, before i used caddy i still had to manually renew it even though i used dns-01 challenge with suitable plugin
