Everytime I look back at the public transport network here in the area here I honestly feel awe

Like, the fact that you can move within the 41 cities of the upper silesia metropolis area using a single public transport company's buses and trams, with relatively reliable connections, feels completely insane to me

I can't think of many other such examples in europe of the top od my head - the Ruhr area certainly, but what else? Maybe im missing something obvious

@jeder wait, really? The entire country's buses and trams are ran by a single company and are within a single network?

@endali no, buses and trams are operated by different companies but you still have everything integrated into ov-chipkaart, and like in many places you have trains every 30-, 15- or 10 minutes so like, yeah

and i think randstad (which is like most of the netherlands anyway) has something going on with r-net or something like that

@endali like, trains are very much a backbone of everything there, and buses are pretty much just a zone thing, and only a main means of transport in places where you don't have trains

@endali i think you could still get from den haag to utrecht on buses if you wanted to and it would be somewhat reliably connected though
