Just spent an hour or so "fixing" the neighbor lady's windows PC. What a mess! The "new" laptop she got gifted is old and even compared to old laptops it's ultra slow. My solution was to give her one of my old laptops I don't need right now until I find her a better one she can buy. She needs windows, though. Otherwise her old laptop would be hella quick with a minimal Linux with XFCE, LibreOffice and Firefox. But her favorite game she plays doesn't run on Linux, also she's not tech savvy enough to switch from windows to something else.

Refurbished Thinkpad T560 for less than 300 eurons should more than suffice. Do I take it with Win11 tho or do I choose the free Win10 downgrade option?

@jeder the refurbisher says they ship it with win11 by default but I can choose to get win10 instead free of charge.

@sanity yeah so they did the register hacks because i just checked lenovo website and it's too old

@sanity also, you sure you can't get something newer like t580 in there for that price?
