I really could sell the iPad and barely have to add anything to get the Pixel Tablet, but I really want to try it first before purchasing it. And no shops around seem to have it, even those specialized in tech stuff. It's annoying
@NeonPurpleStar Uh, isn't that one of the first google Pixel tablets? Also yeah, it has support for it for 3 more years. I can't see any info about how long Apple supports their devices, though. And tbh, I could just switch to GrapheneOS on the tablet once they stop supporting this tablet, if I want a longer longevity for it
I mean, that's a good point, but Apple doesn't seem to disclose how long they're gonna support the iPad 9 at the very minimum, so I'm not sure what to think of this
@jeder@NeonPurpleStar Seems like it actually. End of support for both Google and Graphene for the Pixel Tablet ends in 2028. So I don't really think the support point is to be taken into account, since I'd also have this iPad to have 7 years of support to match what Google offers
@schappi@jeder@NeonPurpleStar@solidsanek because security is the selling point of graphene, and the moment the vendor drops support, firmware updates stop, which undermines the whole effort also they lack the manpower to maintain their own ports, and google releases the full source code for pixels these are also why they don't support other devices
