so I have my nas up and running now
- looking for the cheap foam-filled "silent" case was probably the best thing I could've done, shits barely hearable, you can hear the spinning rust but it's like, so quiet
- god this motherboard is so fucking weird, it has an open-ended pcie 3.0 x1 slot and then 6 top-facing sata ports, meaning any card will most likely interfere with the sata ports, i can just get a riser but like, why put an open-ended slot when your shit is fucked up
- the motherboard has automatic powerup setup by default which caught me off guard but like, why not I suppose
- i wish they included at least some manual because dealing with front panel diodes and shit is never fun
- 16 gigs of ram might not be enough but we'll see lmao
