50 million actuations guaranteed
All CHERRY MX switches can rely on an impressive lifespan: all MX switches can handle more than 50 million actuations without any loss of quality. This does not mean that the switch is defective afterwards; it will continue to function without any problems. In internal laboratory tests, the switches are tested with much higher actuation numbers.

your shitty reds failed on me way earlier than that

my anne pro 2 with box browns still works after 4-5 years
the switches are now clicky instead of tactile but they still perfectly work without any doubleclicks, unlike your shitty reds

@jeder Assuming it was used non-stop for 3 years:

3 years
365 days 24 hours 60 minutes 60 seconds = 94 608 000 seconds

94 608 000 seconds / 50 000 000 clicks = 1.89216 seconds / click

They failed prematurely. Or you were clicking them more often than one time per ≈1.9 seconds for three years with no breaks

@jeder Of course, but I'm too lazy to calculate it with values that actually make sense. This still proves that they failed prematurely tho
