It appears that London doesn’t have a “housing” crisis. In fact, London has a lot of properties that exist but are not being used for housing. If all of these properties were used to house Londoners who needed them, there would actually be properties left over. London has a lot of homes, more than it actually needs — but speculators, foreign and domestic billionaires, and landlords are hoarding them because they have more “interest” than any bank ever could.

This is actually a rare example of overbuild in this country. Other cities in the UK have an underbuild problem, where there jsut is not enough housing stock available even if all homes (empty or used) were utilised.
