Still wild how the Wiener Lokalbahnen actually maintains what resembles proper train stations, still within Vienna. And they are only used for this one line. Wild.
@kescher It's actually not the only thing that can run there. In fact there is a freight train regularly going through Guntramsdorf on the BadnerBahn tracks (and then continuing to ÖBB tracks). You can also see an (now only rarely used) connection track at Gutheil Schoder-Gasse to the ÖBB tracks. Only thing that is really unusable for ÖBB trains is the electrification, as it is 750/850V instead of the 15kV normally in austria and maybe the "turn radius" of the tracks. Btw funny thing: The BadnerBahn uses 3 different voltages. 600V in the Wiener Linien network, 750V between Schedifkaplatz and Inzersdorf and 850V on the remaining network to Baden.
@itsKiara@kescher wouldn’t an ES64U4 be okay with the 750 V? It can do 1500 and maybe reduced performance on even lower line voltage if you ask it nicely??
@jeder@uint8_t@kescher@itsKiara yes sure, for the electics it‘s no Problem (but obviously with less Power), but usually its a „Computer said no“-thing…
