managed to go on the cursed PKP Intercity + SKPL diesel TLK train (SN84 / BR 614) a while ago; here's some pictures!
a red blocky train approaching the station at night, with rain being illuminated by the train's headlights. it has a large "SKPL" logo in white letters on the front, as well as the train name ("Strapa") and its designation (SN84-002)
the same train, with its rear car viewed from the side. it has an even bigger SKPL logo on the side, with "shortlines.pl" next to it. the car is divided into first and second class, with separate entrances
train door from the inside, with the info board showing it's TLK 36102 "Sudety" from Kraków Główny to Jelenia Góra, with a lot of stations in between. the door comprises mostly of a glass pane in the middle, with the environment outside the train being completely dark.
UIC number sticker above a door inside the train: "D-SKPL 95 80 0 914 023-6"

the interior feels very much fitting the age this train was made for - they started rolling them out in mid-1970s, and it looks like SKPL just slapped some stickers on top of the previous owner's paint job
train corridor with light gray walls closer to the viewer and beige walls in a section for bikes + foldable seats a bit further ahead
the foldable chair / luggage / bike section, with some of the seats open. it leads to another narrow corridor in the middle
same open section from another angle, with all the doors between train sections wide open
second class seating section, with some seats being around a table. the train is mostly empty, but brightly illuminated by fluorescent lamps on the ceiling

the stickers are very much a vibe though; i really love how most of them have Polish and English, PKP could never
double doors seen from the inside, with a weird rotating handle on each door and several dark blue stickers with white text explaining how to use the handle and warning about injury in both Polish and English
decals above the door, with seat numbers and arrows pointing towards other train sections

anyhow, i was on the train for just 30 minutes, enough to experience the train in its entirety ( i even sat in first class for a while, because there's nobody there anyway, so why not )

all in all, a very much 5/10 experience, shaky and loud - almost to the point where i'd rather go on a long-distance Desiro Classic than this

@jeder i mean now that i look at the schedules, Krak贸w - Zag贸rz - Medzilaborce - Humenne - etc. would be funny to take
but also i haven't heard the best things about the railways in slovakia soooo
