this truly is a Certified Microsoft™ WindowsⓇ Moment
A screenshot from my desktop, with VSCodium in the background, showing code of my website. I entered "python" into a terminal and hit enter to see if I installed it. Turns out, this action had opened the Microsoft Store and threw me to the Python 3.12 page on there.

winget install python.python.3.12, yeah sure this definitely is the command I want to type in when I want the newest Python version outside of the Microsoft Store because for some reason every version is separate neowyvern_googly_shocked​

"then why are you using windows, you silly (/neg) wolf" well guess what, I have an iPod 6th Generation with original firmware, my music library in the three-digit GB range, and an Oculus Quest 1, both of which I can't reliably use and manage with Linux!

WINDOWS YOU BLITHERING IDIOT
me installing Python 3.12 from Winget (specifically, Python.Python.3.12), me then trying to run "python -m http.server" and it failing, and me then trying to run python standalone and it redirecting me to the store despite having python installed.
