@kaia@aetios I read that when the US used Navajo as human cryptography during ww2 (because no one in Europe or Japan spoke Navajo) they made them translate Spain as “sheep pain” and I think that’s beautiful.
@kaia@lain i don't really know what separates a commieblock from a regular block of flats lol though here there is a lot of like, subsidised? housing that has been auctioned for ages (since the 80s at least) you can apply to if you have a low income in order to get a place to live
in here if you want the american suburb you basically need to move to certain towns which do have residential areas; they are usually smaller towns that are a few ways away from the city
