@jeder@ShadowJonathan right now my whole infra is a bit of a mess but if I ever get to sort out things proper, I will move everything to a neat little closet and host everything there instead (with power-saving things in mind too because the last thing I need is an electricity bill that just- )
@jeder@ShadowJonathan one random idea I have as well is just having a little extra server which does all the uptime monitoring for me effectively (so that if everything goes down, it will at least properly say this).
@jeder@ShadowJonathan this is why we moved away from it as soon as we could we got a vps there and the NEXT FUCKING DAY we had a like 6 hour outage. then again a week later. then nothing for months
@jeder@ShadowJonathan oh and i completely forgot about the network issues connections, both incoming and outgoing, would just randomly die every so often not great when you're running a public service
